What the spray is
The bottle holds 2 fl oz, or 60 ml, of a water-based leave-in for the scalp. The label names biotin at 1% as the active ingredient. Water makes up 97.65% of the formula, so the spray feels closer to water than to a hair oil.
Batana oil, rosemary leaf oil and castor oil are present at 0.1% each, and hydrolyzed rice protein at 0.3%. Buyers describe the feel in the same words again and again: light, and not greasy.
One use is four or five sprays, about 1 ml, massaged into the scalp. At two uses a day a bottle lasts about 30 days.

Know before you buy
The name on the bottle says hair growth, and buyers are split on that point: 65% of the ratings are five stars and 22% are one star, most of those from people who saw no change. The box states that its claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. Sudden or patchy hair loss is a reason to see a dermatologist, not to buy a spray.

A scalp spray cannot diagnose or treat hair loss. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements says there is little scientific evidence that biotin improves hair, and that statement is about biotin taken as a supplement. Among products sold without a prescription, the American Academy of Dermatology describes minoxidil for early hair loss. If your hair is thinning fast, in patches, or with an irritated scalp, see a board-certified dermatologist.

Easy enough to use every day
One of the reasons I stopped using hair oils was because I hated having greasy roots, so I was happy this spray doesn’t have that problem. The texture is almost watery and it spreads easily across my scalp. I usually use a few sprays after my shower and massage it in with my fingers. The scent is pleasant and doesn’t stick around all day. It also doesn’t leave any weird residue once my hair dries. After using it regularly, my hair feels softer and seems to break less when I’m brushing or putting it up. I have fine hair, so anything heavy makes it look flat immediately, but this hasn’t weighed it down at all. Definitely one of the easier scalp products I’ve tried.
Excellent hair spray
A very good hair product.I’ve been using this biotin spray for a while now and really like it. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t leave hair greasy, and has a pleasant scent. With consistent use, I’ve noticed my hair looks and feels stronger. The packaging is practical, and the product lasts a long time. I recommend it to anyone looking to strengthen their hair and support its growth.
for healthier hair
This spray is ideal for achieving healthy looking hair and giving it some extra care, I love how easy it is to incorporate into my daily routine. It applies without leaving a heavy feel or greasy residue on the scalp. I’ve noticed that my hair looks more voluminous and feels stronger when I style it. Plus, the scent is pleasant and fades quickly.
Waste of money
Don't waste your money. I bought this product back in March and I finally finished the bottle on 05/28/2026. There's no new hair growth and this product doesn't smell good at all.
Jury still out
I have been using this twice daily since 3/26/26 and yet notice no difference. I hope I do otherwise this was a waste of money
Does not work
This is a waste of money. Not one bit of improvement
Biotin spray, minoxidil or a biotin supplement: what is the difference?
Biotin Hair Growth Spray is a leave-in scalp routine with biotin 1% on its label, at 50¢ a 1 ml use. Minoxidil is the over-the-counter drug used to stimulate hair growth, and a biotin supplement is a vitamin taken by mouth.
| AVEYA biotin spray | Minoxidil, topical | Biotin supplement | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | A leave-in spray, biotin 1% on the label | An over-the-counter drug for the scalp | A vitamin, B7 |

| What the sources say | The claims on its box are not evaluated by the FDA | Used to stimulate hair growth and slow balding, with results in about 6 to 12 months | Little scientific evidence for hair, skin and nails |
| Better choice when | You want a light, non-greasy scalp routine | A dermatologist has confirmed early hereditary hair loss | A doctor has found a biotin deficiency, which is very rare |
